Fanart Hunt

I stumbled across this drawing and it got me wondering about illustrated Maurice fanart. I know there has been at least two posted in [profile] mr_edna_may, but has anyone else spotted more?

Maybe we should have a scavenger hunt and share out results.

I've never come across fanart for Maurice either! Oh if only there was more! I keep pondering trying some out, but I'm not a particularly good drawer/painter and bad art is so much more obvious and in your face than bad writing. Maybe I should just give it a go anyway.

I had a look at the other fanart on LJ and what I always want to see is original stuff, but very rarely come across it. I don't just mean with Maurice, but most fanart seems to be someone drawing something from a film, and which is the same as the film. Which is all very nice, but a scene from the book with different looking characters would be nice.

Mind you, I just wish there was more fanart in general, drawings and paintings I mean, not manips.

I agree. I guess I want our tiny community to be a little more like that of the Jeeves & Wooster comm, [community profile] indeedsir @ lj. Another small fandom, but while some of their fanart are representations of scenes from the show, there are also scenes from the stories, from fanfics of fellows fans or something entirely original.

I guess I better start drawing if I ever hope to get a fic with illustrations.
